This award is in honour of Dr. Beckman, UBC Clinical Professor Emeritus; a former Neurology Resident Program Director, 2002 to 2011 and Neurology Undergraduate Program Director from 1997 to 2002. In particularly for his legacy as an educator, teacher and mentor to medical students, residents as well as faculty members.
The current residents will dominate one existing Neurology faculty member with an emphasis placed on excellence in teaching. The nominee should have a track record of providing outstanding education in clinical neurology with emphasis on bedside teaching, case discussion, effective communication, clear presentation of information and the ability to engage learners.
Evidence of the nominee’s demonstrable impact on resident learning and track record of providing effective mentorship to residents in Neurology.
